Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might want to know before getting in touch.

About the Service

Many people manage their finances independently, but research shows that those who take professional advice have significantly higher savings and larger pension pots on average. A financial adviser helps you make better-informed decisions, avoid costly mistakes, and ensure your financial arrangements are right for your circumstances.

We start with a free initial consultation to understand your current situation, goals, and concerns. We then conduct a full financial review covering health insurance, pensions, protection, savings, and any other relevant areas. We prepare a written recommendation and walk you through your options before anything is put in place.

Absolutely not. Your first consultation is free and completely without obligation. We'll explain your options honestly — if you don't need to make any changes, we'll tell you that too.

Costs & Fees

Guide Me Financial Solutions operates on a transparent mix of commission and fee-based remuneration depending on the service. For many products, we are remunerated by commission from the product provider, meaning there is no direct cost to you. Where fees apply — for example on pension planning — these are agreed in writing before any work begins.

Yes, in many cases we receive commission from providers when a policy is placed. This is always disclosed to you in writing before any transaction. Our advice is always tailored to your needs — not to maximise commission.

Practical

Yes. We offer both face-to-face consultations in Greystones and online consultations via video call. Many clients find online meetings just as effective and more convenient.

Our primary focus is the Greystones and North Wicklow area, including Bray, Kilcoole, Delgany, and Newcastle. Given our online consultation option, we can also serve clients across a wider area.

Switching is straightforward — you simply appoint Guide Me Financial Solutions as your new adviser of record. In most cases this is a simple form and we can guide you through the process.

Regulation

Yes. Guide Me Financial Solutions Ltd is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. Trevor Gardiner holds QFA, RPA, and APA in General Insurance qualifications and meets all requirements under the Minimum Competency Code.

We take all client feedback seriously. A formal complaints procedure is in place and any complaint will be handled in line with the Central Bank of Ireland's Consumer Protection Code. Details are available on request.
